Yes you read that right, Strawberry Daiquiris for everyone! How do we do it? Simple, make the Daiquiri base first & than add liquid of your choice to the base! Yup that simple! Here is what you need:
Strawberries (Duh)
Ice
Sprite/7-up/Sierra Mist/Club soda
Rum
Yeah, that is it! Strawberries can be either fresh or frozen, if frozen, allow to come to room temp for around 10 min so that you can pull them apart from each other (saves on clogging your blender!) Also with frozen strawberries you might need a little LESS ice, start with less & add more if you need to!
Here is how we make it!
1. Put the strawberries in the blender & top with the ice. I use a simple 1:3 ratio; I fill my blender 1/3 with strawberries & top with ice to fill the blender.
2. BLEND SLOWLY, aka pulse it if you can or use your slowest setting. Otherwise the ice will jam up the blades & you will have to poke at it with a spoon to get it loose.
3. When it is blended it might be really thick, if so add a bit of the soda you chose & blend again until you get a smooth mix (it might take a few times adding soda to get it smooth) if it is too THIN add ice to thicken.
4. Spoon mix into cups, about ½ full & than for KIDS add soda & stir, start with a little soda & keep adding till you get the thickness you desire. FOR ADULTS add a splash of rum (up to you how strong you like it!) & than add soda to get desired thickness.
ENJOY!
